Jump Boards and Pits

This LJ/TJ Sand Pit Cover is fabricated from extruded aluminum seat plank. The ideal cosmetic cover for your LJ/TJ sand pits. Three planks per panel are securely welded together in a frame of 2-3/8" x 1-1/2" x 3/16" aluminum angle. Each panel comes with four retractable handles for easy installation and removal.

A 2" wide supporting recess is required on each side wall for the panels. This recess is not required on the end walls. When not using a Gill pre-fabricated sand pit form, it is important to include a 2" "ledge" along the sides of the sand pit to accommodate the 730148 sand pit cover. The 730148 is designed to allow a track builder to apply the same surface as on the track for a seamless design. Manufacturing begins upon receipt of form 730148-2 (field check guide). A typical sand pit requires 10-11 cover panels.

Under World Athletics Technical Rule 30.1.1, horizontal jump take-off failures are re-defined to include any breaking of the vertical plane of the take-off line. Rule 29.5 strongly encourages judges to use video or other technology to assist the decision process. VeriLynx cameras, along with special configuration of the FinishLynx software, can be used for this purpose. The VeriLynx camera is an Ethernet-based digital video camera that captures full-frame video for field event verification.

VeriLynx also has the option of exporting a JPEG of each attempt automatically when marking a frame, and keeping multiple VeriLynx image panes synchronized (time tracking) to view multiple angles.

• Remotely adjust the camera’s Zoom and Focus within the FinishLynx software to optimize image quality
• VeriLynx videos can be advanced and rewound frame-by-frame to ensure judges can find the frames showing the athletes’ attempts. Videos can also be reviewed in real time while the event is still underway.
• FinishLynx enables the standard EtherLynx camera features to be used with VeriLynx cameras, including zoom, automatic scrolling, gamma, brightness, and contrast adjustment.
• VeriLynx video images are stored on the computer as individual images and can be printed directly from the FinishLynx software
• VeriLynx videos can be manually cropped, viewed in forward or reverse, viewed at different speeds, exported to AVI format, and uploaded to the internet if desired.
• VeriLynx video can be exported to .avi and uploaded to YouTube, Facebook, or other popular services
• Pre-configured profile available with standard FinishLynx installation giving a customized user interface for field events
• Ability to load field events from the field event schedule file (fldlynx.sch)
• Ability to view a vertical line in alignment mode for VeriLynx cameras to facilitate camera alignment with the take-off board
• Ability to automatically capture based on detected motion and review all attempts from a flight into the same FinishLynx image

Video review system for take-off board accuracy. Real-time video captured at take-off displays a confirmation image (or video) in under two seconds. Specialized software records and plays-back simultaneously. Choose to record each athlete attempt or record the entire flight as one continuous video. Simple bookmarking at take-off (pressing space bard on the computer keyboard) logs the exact moment of take-off on the video time-line for precise playback and review.

Officials, coaches, and athletes can now have complete confidence in each call on the board. The official remains in control, choosing to make the immediate determination or refer to the image as needed. Guaranteed not to delay the event when used as intended. Official can review the video before the athlete rises from the sand to exit the sand pit.

The completely portable system can be run entirely off of a laptop computer battery. Import an athlete list (Hy-Tek .evt or excel template) for auto-naming of each athlete attempt when choosing to record separate video clips. No need to be a computer expert, three simple key-strokes by the operator places image of the foot on the board.

Easily export full video or still image(s) for proof of performance as needed.
