Cross country timing should never be timed ONLY with rfid, always have a video or camera based system to determine order of finish, such as a Finishlynx system with Identilynx cameras.

When building your own RFID system, be sure the tags you use can be read by the reader/antennas you have.

The MyLaps BibTag system is a passive rfid system that can use BibTags or ThinTags that can be read using a decoder and antennas. Antennas are typically mats for the finish line (rubber mat, Easymat, side and overhead antennas). In order to use these with your Lynx system, you may need to purchase the LapTime and Netwrok-com plugins if you don't already have them. Network cables for connecting to your Lynx system are NOT included.  NEW USERS, - YOU MUST READ THE GUIDE SO YOU UNDERSTAND ALL THE COMPONENTS NEEDED.
