We got the Ultrak system over the Sprint 8 because we had a push from administration to move away from a traditional starting gun. I read that the Ultrak system could be connected to the Ultrak E Start for automatic starting.
I have not been able to make that happen. That was disappointment number one.
Number 2 would be the printer. It's lousy. No matter how much I run the numbers off and warm it up it only prints off the top half of the digits. We've had a Seiko for years and never had this kind of problem with the printer.
Problem number 3...can't get the linkgate to work AT ALL. Every time I plug the linkgate into the timer the timer screen goes blank. As soon as I unplug it, the screen lights up again. I've looked all over to problem solve this and can't find an answer.
Stick with Sprint 8 or Seiko...better yet go buy an ipad and the Sprint Timer app.
